Forrest Joy, MBA, has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles. Most recently, Forrest served as the Manager of Examinations for Financial Institutions and Market Conduct Supervision at BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA) since June 2021. Prior to this, from September 2020 to June 2021, Forrest worked as a Manager of Performance Audit at the Office of the Auditor General of British Columbia.
From 1996 to 2020, Forrest was the President and principal consultant at Pacific Ecological Services, where they provided resource management consulting services to primarily public sector clients. Their responsibilities included offering management advice, GIS services, monitoring, and research services.
From January 2020 to September 2020, Forrest held the position of a Manager of Performance Audit at the Auditor General for Local Government, leading and conducting performance audits of local governments. Prior to this role, from August 2018 to January 2020, Forrest served as a Senior Performance Auditor, applying performance audit standards and techniques to assess municipal government performance.
Additionally, Forrest has also worked as a Management Consultant at Nickpoint Environmental Services Inc. in 2012 and as a Board of Directors and Chair of the Communications Committee at Riley Park Community Association from 2010 to 2012.
At the start of their career, Forrest served as a Research Technician at the BC Government's Ministry of Forests, where they implemented and planned various research projects and supervised seasonal staff.
Forrest Joy earned a Graduate Diploma in Management from Athabasca University during their time from 2005 to 2006. Following that, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration at the same institution, completing their studies from 2005 to 2009.
