Tracey Sexton

Tracey Sexton has over 30 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Tracey is currently employed as a Senior Stakeholder Engagement Specialist at BC Financial Services Authority, where they started in August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Communications Advisor at the Real Estate Council of BC from November 2020 to August 2021.

From 2018 to 2020, Tracey held the position of Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs at AME - Association for Mineral Exploration. In this role, they developed and executed communications plans, managed teams, and created high-quality content. Earlier in their tenure at AME, from 2010 to 2018, they served as the Special Projects Manager and Executive Assistant, providing support to senior executives and shaping various projects and initiatives.

Tracey also has experience working as a Project Office Manager at Bay Corporate Travel from January 2007 to October 2009, where they implemented changes and transformed the HR function. Before that, they worked as an Operations Manager at St. Maarten 12 Metre Enterprises, a sailing excursion company, from January 1997 to October 2006.

Their career began at Standard Bank Group in 1992, where they worked as a Training Officer and later as a Human Resources Assistant. In their role as a Training Officer, they trained banking professionals in new technology and processes, as well as senior managers in HR initiatives and performance appraisal processes.

Tracey Sexton has a Master's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Royal Roads University, which was obtained between 2015 and 2017. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of the Witwatersrand. In terms of additional certifications, Tracey obtained the "Adobe CC for Design + Production" certification from Emily Carr University of Art and Design in December 2021. In October 2020, they completed certifications in "Excel 2016 Essential Training" and "Strategic Thinking" from LinkedIn. Additionally, they obtained a certificate in Project Management from The University of British Columbia in September 2013 and an Advanced Facilitators Certificate from Standard Bank Group in March 1993.
