MIKE LEAR

Executive Creative Director, Head of Creative, North America at BCG BrightHouse

Mike Lear has over 20 years of experience in the advertising industry, with a focus on creative direction and copywriting. MIKE currently serves as the Executive Creative Director and Head of Creative for North America at BCG BrightHouse, where they help global companies drive positive change.

Prior to their current role, Lear held executive positions at EP+Co and The Martin Agency, where they developed innovative and award-winning campaigns for high-profile clients. MIKE also had teaching roles at VCU Brandcenter and The Creative Circus, where they mentored aspiring advertising professionals.

Lear began their career as a Senior Copywriter at WestWayne, working under the guidance of industry legend Luke Sullivan. MIKE also gained valuable experience at Crispin Porter Bogusky and Huey/Paprocki, where they contributed to successful campaigns for major brands.

In addition to their professional work, Lear has also been actively involved in the industry as a Webby's Judge for the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. MIKE is known for their passion, creativity, and commitment to inspiring young talent.

MIKE LEAR graduated with a B.A. in Communications, with a minor in Marketing, from The University of Texas at Arlington in the span of 1988 to 1994. In 1994 to 1995, they attended The Portfolio Center to study Advertising. MIKE LEAR also completed the Hyper Island Master Class NYC program in 2011. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Business with Purpose Insight Specialist from Advertising Week in November 2020, and is also certified as a NAUI Diver by Naui Worldwide.
