Daniel Koempel is a seasoned procurement professional with extensive experience in supply chain management. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor for Procurement at Boston Consulting Group since April 2025, Daniel also contributes to the Asia Procurement Leaders Council at The Conference Board. Prior roles include Head of Direct Procurement for APAC at Air Liquide and various leadership positions at Rio Tinto, including Global Procurement Director and Transformation Leader for Procurement. Daniel's career began at Mercedes-Benz Middle East and Covisint, where strategic governance and e-supply chain management were key focus areas. Daniel holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Master's in Industrial Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin.
