David Khoo

David Khoo is an AI startup founder, researcher, and leader with extensive experience in various domains of artificial intelligence. They served as a Senior Research Officer at the Bioinformatics Institute, A*STAR, from 2012 to 2016, where they conducted research on cancer risk prediction and cell traction force analysis. At Rolls-Royce from 2019 to 2021, they led a team in automating defect detection in industrial images and explored causal inference for jet engine failure analysis. David held the position of Assistant Manager in Data Engineering at Singapore Airlines from 2016 to 2019, contributing significantly to the development of recommender systems and data governance. Currently, they work as a Lead AI Engineer at Boston Consulting Group, while also having roles as a Senior AI Expert at AIQURIS and Founding Head of Engineering at a stealth mode startup. David holds a Master of Science from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
