Dean Tong

Dean Tong is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in human resources and organizational transformation. Currently serving as Managing Director and Head of Group HR at UOB since July 2018, Dean Tong also leads the Group Transformation Office at the company. Prior to UOB, Dean Tong was a Partner and Managing Director at The Boston Consulting Group from July 1996 to August 2018, where significant contributions included developing comprehensive people roadmaps for prominent Indonesian conglomerates, leading productivity improvement programs, and executing organizational redesigns. Dean Tong played a key role in architecting a successful low-cost banking model in Malaysia and possesses an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration from Universiti Sains Malaysia.
