John Elder

John Elder is a seasoned professional in management consulting, currently serving as Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) since August 2012, with a progression of roles including Partner, Principal, Project Leader, Consultant, and Associate. Prior to BCG, John was a Corps Member at Teach for America from May 2010 to June 2012, and completed a summer associate position at BCG in 2011. John also gained experience as a Budget Intern at the U.S. Department of Labor in 2008. Academic credentials include an M.B.A. in Marketing from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and two degrees from The University of Alabama: a Master of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, in addition to completing secondary education at Chilton County High School.
