Tom Armitage

Tom Armitage is a Principal at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and a researcher specializing in polar oceans, sea ice, and ice sheets. They have developed and implemented satellite data processing algorithms to provide scientific insights into the changing polar regions. Tom held a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where they focused on understanding the rapidly changing polar environments. Additionally, they served as a Research Associate and Postgraduate Teaching Assistant at UCL, and as a Young Graduate Trainee at the European Space Agency, contributing valuable research on Arctic sea ice. Tom earned a PhD in Polar Remote Sensing and an MSci in Physics from UCL.
