Matthew Lui

Matthew Lui is an accomplished legal professional specializing in corporate and securities law, with a strong emphasis on investment funds and private equity. Currently serving as an Associate General Counsel at BCI and a member of the Legal Advisory Council at the Institutional Limited Partners Association since December 2022, Matthew has extensive experience advocating for institutional investors and fund sponsors across various transactions. Previous roles include Director at the Venture Capital Association of Alberta and Senior Associate at Torys LLP, along with leadership positions in organizations such as the Hong Kong Canada Business Association and contributions to the Canada China Business Council. Matthew holds a Juris Doctorate from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the Schulich School of Business.
