Laura Barreca is a seasoned professional with significant experience in entrepreneurship, leadership, and social impact. Currently serving as the Manager of Entrepreneurship & Leadership at BCIT Student Association since February 2018, Laura supports BCIT students and alumni in their entrepreneurial endeavors through educational programming, coaching, and strategic growth initiatives. Prior to this role, Laura was an Instructor at BCIT School of Business, teaching a business elective focused on social impact. Laura's background includes serving as Director of Development and COO at CleanStart BC, where responsibilities encompassed strategic growth and operational management of a social enterprise. Additional experiences include event management with the City of Vancouver, project management for the Centre for Social Innovation & Impact Investing, and strategic consulting roles. Laura holds an MBA from UBC Sauder School of Business, along with a B.A. from McGill University in English Literature and Environmental Science, supplemented by training at the United Way Public Policy Institute.
