Christine E. Carter, JD, FCG, Acc. Dir. currently serves as the Occupational First Aid Attendant - Level 2 and Corporate Secretary & Director of Governance at BCLC since August 2019. In addition, since January 2022, Christine functions as an instructor for the Strategy & Risk Management module in the Directors Education and Accreditation Program at The Chartered Governance Institute, guiding participants towards the Accredited Director designation. Previously, Christine had a comprehensive tenure at HSBC from 2002 to 2019, where roles included Senior Manager of Internal Audit and Corporate Secretary, and significant contributions to regulatory compliance and governance practices. Christine's earlier career includes positions at Thorsteinssons LLP and Davis LLP, focusing on tax planning, corporate law, and estate practices. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School and a BA (Hons) from the University of Guelph.
