Jim Lightbody

Jim Lightbody, C.Dir. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jim began their career at Procter & Gamble in 1985, where they worked as a Unit Manager for five years. In 1990, they moved on to Nabob Foods (Jacobs Suchard Canada) as a Manager, and then joined BC Hot House Foods Inc. in 1992 as the VP of Marketing. After seven years at BC Hot House Foods Inc., Jim Lightbody became the VP of Marketing at Sun Rich Fresh Foods in 1999.

In 2001, Jim Lightbody joined BCLC as the Vice President of Lottery Gaming, a position they held until 2011. Jim then transitioned to Vice President of Casino & Community Gaming, where they worked until 2014. From 2014 until their recent promotion, Jim Lightbody served as the President & CEO of BCLC. Jim is currently the Former President of the company as of January 2022.

Jim Lightbody, C.Dir. attended The University of British Columbia from 1981 to 1985, where they obtained a BComm degree in Marketing. Jim also holds a Chartered Director certification from the DeGroote School of Business - McMaster University, which they obtained in 2018. This certification was focused on the role of Board of Directors.
