Umar Shaukat

Umar Shaukat, CPA, serves as a Senior Specialist at BCLC since January 2022, leading the finance team in the financial statement audit process. In addition, Umar has held the position of Sessional Instructor at Thompson Rivers University since September 2022. Prior experience includes serving as Finance Manager at Kootenay Career Development Society, where financial statements were prepared, and as an Intermediate Accountant at BCLC, contributing to external reporting through the preparation of financial statements and note disclosures. Umar began the accounting career as an Accounting Analyst at Merangue International Limited, preparing monthly and year-end financial statements. Educational qualifications include a CPA designation from CPA Canada, a Diploma in Accounting from UBC Sauder School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Textile Sciences and Engineering from National Textile University.
