Melissa King

Melissa King has extensive experience in event planning and communications, beginning with a role as a Field Representative at the Muscular Dystrophy Association, where fundraising and event management were key responsibilities. Following this, an internship at the United States Postal Service involved assisting with significant events such as the World Stamp Expo 2000. Melissa held positions at SAIC and Leidos as an Event Planner and Outreach & Events Staff Officer, respectively, providing logistical coordination and executive-level event planning for government agencies. At Booz Allen Hamilton, Melissa served as a Public Affairs Specialist, managing social media and communications for the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity. Currently, as a Communications Specialist at BCT LLC, strategic communications and event support are provided for a government agency's chief information office. Educational pursuits include a degree in Family Studies from the University of Maryland College Park and a Mini-MBA in Social Media Marketing from Rutgers Business School.
