Our mission is to help residents harness their community's strengths and talents to make their areas even better places to live. We achieve this by providing funding, support, learning opportunities, and a platform to influence organisations affecting their lives.

Our flagship Invest Local programme puts people at the centre, empowering communities to achieve their goals. This community-led approach aims to:

- Enable residents to decide the best ways to achieve their goals.
- Equip local people with the skills, confidence, and expertise to lead now and in the future.
- Encourage active participation in setting goals and creating activities that drive positive change.
- Foster awareness of the strengths and talents within communities.

Our Community Anchor Development Programme is another key initiative which provides £150,000 of flexible funding to 11 community organisations across the nation, helping them respond to local challenges. This programme builds on BCT’s strong financial performance and draws from the learning from the Invest Local Programme.

Finally, our Community Networks Programme is a package of multi-year funding to support five networks of local community organisations working across Wales. 
It is a chance for trusted local organisations to facilitate a network in their locality, providing learning, networking and influencing opportunities for the network members. With almost 100 member groups across the five community networks, the programme provides significant opportunities to create connections within and between communities to share learning and experience. 

Learning, sharing, and advocacy are also integral to our work. We bring together community organisations across Wales to exchange ideas and learn from one another.
