Ben Stumpf's work experience begins in 2008 when they worked as a Writer/Series Developer for Imagine Asian Television (IAtv). Ben was responsible for creating content for segments and developing characters and skits. In 2011, they became a Contributing Writer for Late Night Republic, where they wrote and pitched comedic segments for the nationally syndicated talk show.

From 2012 to 2014, Stumpf worked as a Writer/Producer for The Pet Collective, where they produced original animal-themed videos and created parodies using animals. Ben also wrote, produced, and edited the series "Amazing Animal Facts."

In 2014, Stumpf briefly worked as a Producer/Writer for Buzzr, and in 2015, they joined BuzzFeed as a Writer/Director of Branded Content. Ben held this position until 2017.

In 2017, Stumpf co-founded The Dad and served as the Lead Writer, Director, and Co-Founder. Ben oversaw all original video content and directed ongoing series, parodies, and one-offs. Ben also worked as a Lead Writer/Director for Scary Mommy during this time.

Stumpf then moved on to Some Spider Studios, where they held various roles. From 2017 to 2020, they were the Lead Writer/Director, and in 2020, they became the Head of Branded Content at Some Spider and Head of Studio at The Dad. In these roles, they oversaw creative ideation and execution of branded programs, led a team in creating integrated campaigns, and collaborated with a range of clients.

Currently, Stumpf is the Executive Creative Director of Scripted Video at BDG, starting in 2021.

Ben Stumpf completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies from the School of Visual Arts between 2004 and 2008. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate of Completion in Sketch Writing/Improv from the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they attended New Hampshire Community Technical College from 2002 to 2004, where they pursued Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities, but did not obtain a degree.
