Sim joined BDMI in 2012 from High Line Venture Partners, where he co-founded the seed fund, and has been in venture capital and startups since the beginning of his career. His active portfolio includes Antenna, Extra, Nativo, Omaze, Rally Rd, Suzy, and WhoWhatWear. Past exits at BDMI include Barkbox (IPO), Pathmatics (acquired by Sensor Tower), Podsights (acquired by Spotify), Jukin Media (acquired by Trusted Brands), Food52 (acquired by The Chernin Group), StyleHaul (acquired by RTL), Dramafever (acquired by Softbank), and HelloGiggles (acquired by Time Inc). He is actively focused on new investments in the future of media, enterprise software and the creator economy.

He holds an MBA from MIT Sloan, an engineering degree from the Cooper Union where he graduated Summa cum Laude and is a graduate of Stuyvesant High School.
