Anthony Pillay

Anthony Pillay has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Anthony began their career in 2001 at the KZN Department of Transport, where they served as a Compliance Officer and later as a Personnel Officer. In 2014, Pillay joined the Office of the Public Service Commission as an Assistant Director, specializing in Forensic Investigations. Anthony then moved on to the Department of Environmental Affairs, where they held various positions including Deputy Director of Fraud & Ethics Management and Acting Director of Internal Audit. In 2019, Pillay joined BDO South Africa, initially as a Senior Manager in Risk Advisory Services, then as an Associate Director, and currently serves as a Director in the same department. In 2021, they had a short-term secondment to BDO in East Africa as an Associate Director, focusing on the implementation of new Practice Management and Performance Management models. Overall, Pillay's work experience demonstrates their expertise in risk advisory, fraud detection and prevention, internal audit, and public service administration.
