Nicol Marais

Nicol Marais is a Risk Advisory Specialist with 14 years of experience in advising clients on Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Governance, particularly within the public sector and higher education. They have held senior management roles at BDO South Africa since 2018 and previously at Grant Thornton South Africa. Nicol completed their Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and a postgraduate degree in Internal Audit at the University of Pretoria, as well as achieving the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification in 2008. They are passionate about internal audit, enjoying the opportunity to enhance processes and collaborate with like-minded colleagues.
