John Petzold

John Petzold is a Managing Director in BDO's Forensic Insurance and Recovery Practice, specializing in claims recovery and dispute resolution. With over three decades of experience in risk management and insurance, John has successfully led initiatives such as a global COVID-19 Claim Recovery Task Force and oversaw significant cases like the $400B Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement. Prior to BDO, John held pivotal roles at PwC and other firms, delivering strategic solutions for complex insurance claims and fraud investigations. John is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Fairleigh Dickinson University and an MBA in Insurance and Financial Risk Management at St. John's University.
