David Murphy

David Murphy is an accomplished Assurance Principal at BDO USA since July 2016, leading assurance teams for various entities, including public and non-public companies, private equity-owned firms, and real estate funds, with expertise in US GAAP and IFRS. Prior to this role, David served in multiple positions at BDO USA, LLP from 2004 to 2016, progressing from Assurance Associate to Assurance Partner. David also contributed to academia as a Teaching Assistant for Managerial Accounting at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business. David holds a Master of Accountancy with a focus on Accounting, Real Estate, and Urban Land Economics, as well as a BBA in Accounting from the Wisconsin School of Business, complemented by early education at Madison West High School.
