Gary Choolfaian

Gary Choolfaian, CPA, is a seasoned tax professional currently serving as Managing Director at BDO USA, LLP since January 2021. Previously, Gary held the position of Principal at MBAF CPAs, LLC from October 2006 to January 2021, an independent member of Baker Tilly International. Prior to that, Gary was a Principal at UHY Advisors from January 1998 to October 2006, following a tenure at Ferro Berdon & Company, where the firm merged into UHY Advisors. Gary began his career as a Manager at Ferro Berdon & Company, CPA's from 1994 to 1998 and was a Partner at Blumenkrantz and Co PC from 1979 to 1994. Gary earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Lehman College between 1974 and 1979, after completing high school at Cardinal Spellman from 1970 to 1974.
