Ian Berman

Ian Berman is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in private equity and corporate advisory services. Currently serving as the Director and National BD Market Leader for Private Equity at BDO USA since October 2024, Berman has played a pivotal role in the sector. Alongside this role, Berman has been a Board Member of ACG San Francisco since 2008, leading the Private Equity Committee. Previously, Berman held the position of Director of Private Equity Services at RSM US LLP, contributing to the firm’s status as the fifth largest in the accounting, tax, and consulting industry. Berman's career also includes significant roles at Private Capital Advisors Inc and Royal Bank of Canada Inc, where Berman was a founding member of Concordia Capital. Early career achievements were marked at Deloitte, where Berman rose to Senior Manager in the Transaction Advisory sector. Berman holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of the Witwatersrand and a CPA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
