Jim Maloney is an accomplished accounting professional with extensive experience in audit quality and risk management. Currently serving as Assurance National Technical Partner at BDO USA since May 2023, Jim previously held the role of Regional Technical Partner - Central at BDO USA from September 2021 to May 2023. With responsibilities spanning key markets including Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Pittsburgh, Jim has expertise in advising on strategic transactions related to public and private offerings, carve-outs, and M&A. Prior to BDO, Jim participated in Deloitte’s Partner Development Program, where skills in technical expertise, leadership, and management were cultivated through diverse roles. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Richmond, obtained from 1992 to 1996.
