Marko Zagar

Marko Zagar is a Tax Managing Director at BDO, specializing in federal, state, and international tax compliance within the financial services sector. Currently, Marko is focused on serving private equity and venture capital funds on the West Coast. Previously, Marko served as the Senior Vice President and Head of Tax at loanDepot, where they institutionalized the tax group and developed various tax strategies. Marko also held positions at KPMG, PwC, and EY, cultivating high-performing teams to support a diverse range of clients in investment management and financial services. Marko is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance and a Master's degree in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California, alongside attending law school at the University of Zagreb.
