Peter Pentland is the National Practice Leader of Accounting Methods in BDO USA's Specialized Tax Services, where they provide expert guidance to companies on tax accounting methods across various industries. With a background as a Partner in RSM US LLP’s Washington National Tax practice and extensive experience in IRS exam defense, Peter has developed a robust expertise in inventory methods, long-term contract accounting, and revenue recognition. They also contributed as a member of the AICPA Tax Methods and Periods Technical Resource Panel and the AICPA Tax Executive Committee. Peter holds a Master of Science in Taxation from DePaul University and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business.
