Susan M. Lyons is a highly experienced professional in tax management and consulting, currently serving as Managing Director of National Tax at BDO USA since August 2020. Prior to this role, Susan was a consultant at Deloitte from October 1997 to June 2020, where responsibilities included leading a global tax editorial team, ensuring the quality and risk assurance of tax technical content, and developing innovative tax solutions. Additionally, Susan served as Editor of Tax Notes International at Tax Analysts from 1995 to 1997, overseeing editorial operations and relationship management. Earlier experience includes a position as Senior Researcher at the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation, focusing on international tax developments and producing essential reference materials. Susan holds a JD from the University of San Diego School of Law and a BA in Literature/Classics from UC San Diego.
