Thiru Govender is the Central Florida Practice Leader for Assurance Services at BDO USA LLP, overseeing operations in the Tampa and Orlando offices. With over 25 years of experience, they have focused on multinational enterprises across various industries, including retail, technology, manufacturing, and distribution. Thiru has served as an advisor on international accounting and SEC compliance matters and has worked in multiple countries, including the UK, Italy, and China. Prior to their current role, Thiru was the Managing Partner of Assurance Services at BDO USA, LLP, and had previously held the position of Audit Practice Leader at Elliott Davis Decosimo. They earned their degree from St. Bonaventure University.
