Wendy Schmitz

Wendy Schmitz has extensive experience in the field of assurance and employee benefit plans, serving as Assurance Director and Atlantic Regional EBP Practice Leader at BDO USA, LLP from January 2006 to May 2020, where responsibilities included managing the Carolinas EBP practice and overseeing audit, tax, and consulting projects. Current role as Assurance Quality Director at BDO USA, P.C. began in July 2023. Prior experience includes a position as Assurance Senior at The Siegfried Group and contract work with Price WaterhouseCoopers, as well as a role as Special Project Accountant at American & Efird, Inc., where Wendy Schmitz improved the fixed asset accounting system. Wendy Schmitz received a BSBA and MAC in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill between 1994 and 1999.
