Alan Gilbert

Alan Gilbert is a seasoned professional in the biotechnology sector, currently serving as Senior Director at Be Biopharma since March 2024, focusing on gene modified B cell therapy process development and cross-functional leadership in technology advancement. Previously, Alan held the position of Senior Director at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where responsibilities included overseeing Type 1 Diabetes cell therapy process development and managing a team of over 30 scientists and engineers. Prior experience includes Senior Director roles at Rubius Therapeutics, leading cell therapy process development and contributing to IND filings, and at Biogen, where Alan was a Senior Engineer overseeing technical development for clinical stage molecules.
