Raffaele M. currently serves as CIO and Group Director of IT at BE-terna since January 2023 and is a Lektor at FH Kufstein Tirol – University of Applied Sciences since October 2018, specializing in infrastructure economics with a focus on strategy, processes, IoT, cybercrime, and fiber optics. Previously, Raffaele held the position of Head of the IT Department at Berger Logistik GmbH from July 2019 to January 2023, and served as the Head of Information Technology and Deputy Director at Innsbrucker Kommunalbetriebe AG from October 2006 to April 2019, emphasizing digitalization efforts. Raffaele’s experience also includes roles as Head of Telecommunications and Information Systems at Eurofighter Typhoon and Senior Project Manager positions at EADS Defence & Security. Earlier career developments included leading the IT department at DB Schenker and overseeing the establishment of logistics centers in Austria. Raffaele holds a Dipl.-Ing. Univ. degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation Technology from the Technical University of Munich and has furthered education at MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® and St. Galler Business School.
