Kyle R. Boyd

Kyle Boyd is a Partner and Managing Director at Beacon Pointe Advisors and is responsible for partnering with Beacon Pointe’s investment and financial planning teams to provide customized solutions that help clients meet their financial goals. Kyle has over three decades of experience in the financial services industry and previously was Principal with the investment counseling firm of Boys, Arnold and Co., where he served as a senior investment counselor and on the firm’s Investment Committee, handling many of the firm’s largest and most complicated portfolios. He also served as President of Boys, Arnold Trust Company and was responsible for Trust Company planning, formation and management. As Senior Vice President and Chief Trust Officer for Merrill Lynch Trust Company, Kyle was on the Investment Committee. He supervised all trust company administration and management in its Greensboro, Chicago, Bloomfield Hills, Columbus, and Washington, D.C., offices overseeing $1.7 billion in trust assets. Prior to joining Merrill, he served as Vice President and Regional Manager for Wachovia Bank of North Carolina’s Trust Division in the Piedmont Triad Region. Prior to joining Beacon Pointe, Kyle was a Managing Principal and Wealth Advisor at Altavista Wealth Management, which merged with Beacon Pointe in 2022. Kyle is an attorney and member of the Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolina State Bar Associations. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama, holds a law degree from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law and is a graduate of the American Bankers Association National Trust School. He has served as a member of the Vestry of Trinity Episcopal Church in Asheville, North Carolina, and is on the board of directors of the Asheville Catholic School, Cradle of Forestry and National Independent Trust Company.
