Deborah Bonello

Deborah Bonello currently serves as Managing Editor and Senior Editor at InSight Crime since April 2024 and is also an Investigator and Editor at Southern Pulse. As an accomplished author, Deborah penned "NARCAS: The Secret Rise of Women in Latin America's Cartels" under Beacon Press, where involvement began in January 2018. Previous roles include Editorial Director for Latin America at VICE Media from August 2020 to March 2024, and a period as a self-employed journalist and investigator focused on organized crime and drug trafficking. Earlier experience includes Project Manager at InSight Crime (2016-2018), and roles as Producer and Reporter at MexicoReporter.com (2011-2016), alongside positions at The Financial Times and Los Angeles Times as a video journalist. Deborah holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Bristol.
