Mark Sowerby is currently the Head of Underwriting Governance UK, Europe and International at Nexus Underwriting, a position held since 2025. They also serve as the Group Technical Underwriting Manager at Nexus Group, a role they have occupied since 2011. Previously, Mark was a Financial Lines Underwriter at Novae from 2007 to 2011 and a Deputy Underwriter at QBE European Operations from 2004 to 2007. Mark earned a BSc in Economics from The University of Hull between 1998 and 2002.
