Brian Shumaker

Brian Shumaker has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Brian is currently the Chief Executive Officer at beadedstream, where they also served as the Founder and Product Development Manager since 2004. In this role, they developed technology patents and prototypes for field instrumentation related to ground temperature profiling and temperature profiling in glaciers and ice runways. Brian also led embedded software development efforts and provided field services.

Prior to their current role, Brian worked as a Geotechnical Engineer at Michael Baker Corporation from 2008 to 2012. Brian also held the position of Geotechnical Engineer at Duane Miller & Associates from 2002 to 2008. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Staff Engineer at Arctic GeoScience Inc. from 1999 to 2002 and as a Staff Scientist at ATC Associates Inc. from 1997 to 1999.

Brian Shumaker attended Cornell University from 1991 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. In 1995, they also briefly attended The University of Texas at Arlington, focusing on Civil Engineering. Later, from 2002 to 2008, Brian pursued Continuing Education in Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
