Lee Willock has over 19 years of experience in the animation industry. Starting as a Teachers Assistant at Vancouver Film School in 2000, they assisted instructors during lab time and provided one-on-one support to students. In 2001, they joined Intelliscape as a Lead Animator, where they modeled, rigged, and textured characters for Toy Story 2. Lee also keyframe animated characters for a Disney Interactive game. From 2003 to 2005, Willock worked as a Supervising Animator at Bardel Entertainment, followed by a similar role at Sextant Entertainment for a year. Lee then joined Blue Castle Games in 2005 as a Senior/Lead Animator, where they contributed to various projects until 2010. From 2010 to 2018, Willock served as a Senior Animator at Capcom Game Studio Vancouver, working on an unannounced project. Lee directed motion capture shoots and implemented gameplay animations into the Unreal Engine. In 2018, they joined Electronic Arts (EA) as a Senior Animator for NHL, a role they held until 2019. Currently, they are working as a Lead Animator at Beamdog, a position they have held since October 2019.
Lee Willock attained a degree in Maya Certification specializing in Classical Animation and Maya from Vancouver Film School between 1997 and 1999. Prior to that, from 1992 to 1994, Lee pursued a Fine Arts program at the University of Regina.
