David Bryson

David Bryson is a highly experienced professional in the field of gene editing, currently serving as the Director of Gene Editing and Director of LNP Discovery at Beam Therapeutics since August 2017. With a robust focus on pioneering CRISPR base editing technologies, David has held various roles including Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist. Prior to joining Beam Therapeutics, David was a Ruth L. Kirschstein NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University from June 2012 to August 2017, where research involved directed evolution and protein engineering under the guidance of David R. Liu. David holds a PhD in Chemistry from Virginia Tech and a Master of Science in Biochemistry from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
