John Ko

John Ko is a skilled professional in medical affairs and health economics with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Senior Director of Medical Affairs and Value & Evidence Strategy at Beam Therapeutics since September 2021, John Ko leads initiatives in external engagement, medical communication, and evidence generation. Prior roles include positions at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals as Senior Director of Global Value & Evidence Strategy for the TTR Franchise, and Global Medical Director, focusing on health economics and outcomes research. John's previous experience at Novartis encompasses roles in health economics and outcomes research as Associate Director and contributions to lead the neuroscience division's HE&OR efforts. John Ko also has experience in pharmacoeconomics, clinical pharmacology, managed care marketing, and pharmacy operations from various esteemed organizations including Scott & White Health Plan, FDA, and Genentech. John Ko holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) with an MS in Regulatory Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from UC Irvine.
