Kay Y.

Kay Y. is a Senior Scientist II at Beam Therapeutics since August 2022, specializing in mRNA potency enhancement through UTR, codon, and polyA tail optimization while collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Scientist I and Scientist at Amgen, focusing on establishing a new RNA modality using an induced proximity platform from June 2021 to July 2022. At the University of California, Los Angeles, from July 2014 to June 2021, Kay Y. worked as an Assistant Project Scientist on developmental gene regulation and as a Postdoctoral Researcher studying small non-coding RNA expression in neuronal development. Previous research roles include postdoctoral work at Howard Hughes Medical Institute and Technische Universiteit Delft, where techniques for observing microRNA pathways were developed.
