Tom Bowman

Tom Bowman, MD MPH, is an accomplished physician-scientist and Medical Director with a diverse background spanning over 25 years in clinical patient care, 15 years in industry, and 7 years in academia. They graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed their MPH at Harvard School of Public Health, followed by roles at Harvard Medical School where they published research and taught. Tom's industry experience includes key positions at Boston Scientific, Dicerna (acquired by Novo Nordisk), and their current role as Medical Director at Beam Therapeutics, focusing on innovative treatments for genetic diseases. Additionally, they have maintained clinical skills by providing care during the Covid pandemic as an attending hospitalist at Mass General Brigham.
