Stephen Bence has a diverse and extensive work experience.
Stephen started their career as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Cambridge in 1996.
In 1997, they joined McKinsey as an Engagement Manager and worked there until 2003.
From 2003 to 2004, they held roles as the Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Splashpower Ltd.
In 2004, Stephen became the Director of New Ventures at Angle Technology until 2007.
From 2007 to 2014, they served as the Managing Director of Spin-out Strategy Ltd, where they provided consultancy services to family companies and family law firms.
Additionally, in 2008, they became the Managing Director of Transentia until 2014.
In 2010, Stephen founded and served as the Chairman of BusinessFunding.co.uk, a business funding brokering company, until 2015.
During the same period, they also founded and chaired Beauhurst, a leading provider of deep data on growing companies.
In 2014, Stephen founded and became the Managing Director of Spin-out Strategy Consultancy DWC-LLC.
Most recently, in 2020, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Vardags, a company that deals with high-value and complex cases in various legal areas, including divorce and family law.
Stephen Bence received their Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Cambridge in 1993. Stephen continued their education at the same university and obtained their PhD in Physics in 1996.
