Matthew Whiteley has extensive work experience in various roles and industries.

Matthew started their career in 2001 as a Sales & Training Supervisor for Help the Aged, where they worked until 2003.

From 2004 to 2011, they served as a Vice Consul, Trade & Investment, ICT Sector Lead at the British Consulate-General in Los Angeles, working for UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).

In 2011, Matthew joined the British Consulate-General Los Angeles again, this time as Vice Consul, Tech City Investment Organisation, where they supported the growth of the tech cluster in East London and helped secure foreign direct investment (FDI) in Tech City.

Starting in 2015, Matthew worked as Strategy and Business Development for Pond Partners, assisting British companies in expanding to the United States.

In 2016, they took on two roles simultaneously. Matthew became a Senior Consultant at OCO Global, where they delivered international trade and foreign direct investment services on the US West Coast. Matthew also joined the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) as Director - USA (West Coast), attracting investment into the Kingdom of Bahrain and identifying opportunities for economic growth.

In 2020, Matthew held several positions. Matthew was the Head of Business Development at Beautify Earth, a marketplace platform connecting artists with brands and property owners. Matthew served as the Head of Development at Costello Palmer Communications and Head of Growth at Boon, a referral hiring solution. Matthew also worked as a Client Engagement role at Poza Consulting Svc, a market research company providing qualitative research solutions.
