Gerard Bloom

Gerard Bloom is an accomplished insurance professional with over 20 years of experience in the London and international markets. Currently serving as the Head of International, Specialty Lines at Beazley since December 2016, Gerard oversees International Financial Lines and International Private Enterprise, and chairs key management committees. Prior to Beazley, Gerard was the Chief Underwriting Officer for Financial Institutions at XL Catlin, managing a significant global portfolio and leading a diverse team of underwriters across multiple regions. Gerard's earlier roles included Senior Vice President for Mergers & Acquisitions at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd and Chief Underwriting Officer for Financial Institutions at AIG. Gerard holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from the University of West London.
