Tim MacFarlane

Tim Macfarlane serves as the AI Programme Director at Beazley, having been appointed by the COO to spearhead the company's Generative AI initiative since April 2023. In this role, Tim is responsible for scaling Generative AI from a proof-of-concept to enterprise-grade implementation, emphasizing secure and scalable solutions with a focus on measurable ROI. Previously, Tim held the position of Cloud Programme Director at Beazley, where involvement in a complex cloud transformation initiative played a pivotal role in a £260m modernization program. Prior experience includes serving as Programme Director for Cloud Data Services at Credit Suisse and Executive Director of Technology at Goldman Sachs, where significant contributions were made toward enhancing infrastructure and driving strategic objectives. Tim's career began at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers as an IT Project Manager following education at Queen Margaret University.
