My name is Ramona, and I am the owner and founder of Because We Care Community Foundation. Our mission is to be a catalyst for positive change in our community by raising awareness of individual challenges and promoting an active lifestyle without limits. Through our integrated approach—which includes medical testing services and holistic support—we strive to empower individuals to live their fullest lives with health, vitality, and independence.

Our primary focus is on serving our senior community. Many seniors feel like a burden and hesitate to ask for help, contributing to feelings of depression, social isolation, and loneliness. To address this, we created HUGS with Ramona, a companion program under our nonprofit organization. H.U.G.S. stands for Helping Unconditionally with a Giving Spirit and is designed to support seniors in reducing the isolation and loneliness they often experience.

Social isolation and loneliness are significant public health issues affecting more than one-third of adults, with seniors being particularly vulnerable. These feelings can lead to depression, substance abuse, and even suicide. The health risks associated with loneliness and social isolation are comparable to smoking and obesity, increasing mortality risk by up to 30%.

To make a meaningful difference, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses like yours. We would be deeply grateful if you would consider donating to support our organization. Your contribution is critical to improving the lives of those who need assistance and companionship as they navigate their daily lives. Thank you in advance for your support!
