Farhang Ostadan is a seasoned professional in the field of civil engineering, currently serving as the Manager of the Earthquake Engineering Center at Bechtel Corporation since August 1985 and holds the titles of Bechtel Fellow and Chief Engineer. In addition to these roles, Farhang Ostadan has been an active member of the International Association for Structural Mechanics in Reactor Technology since 2001, taking on leadership positions as Vice President and President of the IASMiRT board, as well as chairing SMiRT-22 in San Francisco since February 2009. Farhang Ostadan earned a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, completing studies from 1979 to 1983.
