Jose Castro

Jose Castro, P.E., has extensive experience in plant design and pipe stress engineering, currently serving as Plant Design Stress and Support Lead and Senior Pipe Stress Engineer at Bechtel Corporation since January 2010. Responsibilities include delegating work packages, preparing isometrics, originating and checking pipe stress calculations per various ASME codes, and managing communication with the pipe support group. Castro has developed expertise in using Bentley AutoPIPE and Intergraph SmartPlant 3D, along with experience in pipe support engineering and inspections. Prior experience includes an engineering internship at Captive-Aire Systems, focusing on kitchen ventilation design. Jose Castro holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland (2005-2009).
