Mellissa Case

Mellissa Case is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sustainable development, social performance, and community relations. Currently serving as the Manager of Sustainable Development at Bechtel Corporation since February 2011, Mellissa develops and implements ESG and sustainability strategies across the Mining & Metals Global Business Unit, supporting projects aimed at achieving a Net Zero future. Prior roles at Bechtel include Social Performance and Communications Manager, Sustainability Specialist, and Sustainability and Community Relations Manager, where Mellissa was instrumental in engaging with Indigenous communities and managing social impact for various major LNG projects. Prior to Bechtel, Mellissa worked at Rio Tinto as a Community Relations and Media Specialist and at Gladstone Regional Council in various capacities focused on community capacity building, events, and cultural projects. Educational qualifications include a Masters in Public Relations from the University of Southern Queensland and several certifications in community relations and sustainability management.
