Somain Sharma

Somain Sharma is a Civil Engineering graduate from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, who specialized in structural design. As the former Secretary of the Indian Geotechnical Society at PEC, Somain coordinated large-scale events and secured sponsorships, enhancing their skills in event management and collaboration. They completed internships focused on structural research and project management, resulting in two published research papers. Currently, Somain contributes to the Rio Grande LNG project at Bechtel Corporation in Texas, concentrating on steel design and connection analysis. Looking ahead, Somain aims to transition into management roles to oversee comprehensive project execution and engage with clients and stakeholders.
