Stewart Stringer

Stewart Stringer serves as the Value Management Lead for Phase 2b at HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd, where a comprehensive Value Management program has been instituted across a £20bn+ portfolio, resulting in the identification of over 500 efficiencies. Stewart has extensive experience with Bechtel Corporation as a Project Controls and Business Manager, delivering quality outcomes in major Infrastructure and Nuclear sectors. Previous roles include Program Controls Manager at Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S), where an APM compliant earned value management system was created for 200 projects, and Program Controls Manager at EDF Energy, overseeing the civil construction package for two nuclear reactors. Additional experience encompasses commercial management roles at Crossrail Ltd, NG Bailey, Network Rail, and Balfour Beatty Rail, alongside a foundational background in quantity surveying with significant projects in the UK and abroad. Stewart holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Geophysics and Engineering Geology from the University of Exeter and a Diploma in Quantity Surveying from the College of Estate Management.
